Starting on 1 August 2024, the Social Welfare Department will fully implement the District-based Social Worker Service in Pre-primary Institutions in all districts, aiming at strengthening the districts' collaboration in child protection. HKCMAC will provide stationing social work service in 13 Pre-primary Institutions in Kwun Tong District, including the area of Shun Lee, Shun On, On Tai, On Tat, Sau Mau Ping and Hiu Kwong Street. The pre-primary institutions are as below:

For pre-primary children

• To provide support and therapeutic intervention for pre-primary children in relation to their developmental needs, relationship with their families and/or adjustment to pre-primary life.

• To engage the parents/families of pre-primary children in the helping process through counselling, home visits, outreach service and crisis intervention.
• To equip their parents with proper/effective child care/parenting skills, enhance parents' awareness of child protection and strengthen their family relationship.

For Personnel of Pre-primary Institutions

• To provide professional consultation and/or organize training on child protection for the personnel to support and early identify the children/families in need.
